Carved in the heart of Bahia, Chapada Diamantina is practically an oasis. Amid the northeastern hinterlands, abundant streams spring from the top of the mountains, gently flowing through the Serrano complex, plunging into impressive waterfalls like Fumaça – one of the largest in Brazil – and filling turquoise-colored caves such as Lapa Doce and Pratinha. The attractions, which also include cliffs, valleys, and Atlantic Forest groves, extend beyond the park’s boundaries and spread across charming towns like Lençóis, which preserves stories from the gold-mining era of the 19th century.
Another highlight is the famous plateaus that form part of the Espinhaço mountain range. It feels like a movie scene. From the 1,120-meter-high Morro do Pai Inácio, a 360-degree view reveals some of Chapada’s most beautiful formations, such as Morro do Camelo, Morrão, and Três Irmãos, a spectacle that becomes even more magical at sunset. Many postcard-worthy spots can be reached by car or via relatively easy hikes. At the end of the day, visitors can enjoy the renowned Bahian hospitality in charming inns, small bistros, and stylish bars along the cobblestone streets of Lençóis’ historic center.
Day 1 – Origin / Lençóis
Flight to Lençóis. Reception at the airport and transfer to the chosen accommodation.
Day 2 – Lençóis – Serrano Tour
After breakfast, departure for an easy trail starting from the hotel. We will walk along the Lençóis River bed to Poço Haley, passing the incredible natural pools formed by the river, the Colorful Sands Hall, and Cachoeirinha, continuing to Primavera Waterfall and the viewpoint with a panoramic view of Lençóis.
Easy trail. Duration: 3 hours.
Day 3 – Lençóis – Ribeirão do Meio – Sossego Waterfall
After breakfast, departure for the Sossego Waterfall trail, considered difficult and very diverse, with walks through the forest and along the rocks of Ribeirão River until reaching the waterfall for a refreshing swim in the natural pool formed by the fall. On the return, we will stop at Ribeirão do Meio, a natural slide on the hillside.
Difficult trail. Duration: 7 hours.
Day 4 – Lençóis
Free day for independent activities.
Day 5 – Lençóis – Morro do Pai Inácio and Lapa Doce & Pratinha Caves
After breakfast, ascent to the top of Morro do Pai Inácio, offering magnificent views of the Three Brothers Hills and considered by many the postcard of Chapada Diamantina. Lunch at Pratinha Cave (lunch not included), one of the most popular destinations for locals, with crystal-clear waters that enter the cave and also lead to the nearby Blue Cave. Finally, visit Lapa Doce Cave. We will cover approximately 850 meters inside the cave, guided with special lighting highlighting the countless rock formations shaped by underground waters over the years.

Day 6 – Lençóis

Day 8 – Lençóis / Origin
Transfer to the airport. Flight back to the city of origin.
