Day 2 – São Miguel Grotto, Blue Lake Grotto & Snorkeling in the Sucuri River
São Miguel Grotto – The tour begins with a short video presentation about the São Miguel caves, followed by a walk along a 200-meter suspended bridge through the treetops of the cerrado, and then another 150 meters of trail leading to one of the oldest caverns on the planet. This dry cave features unique geological formations, where untouched nature reveals its coral-like structures and limestone nests.
Duration: 1h30

Blue Lake Grotto – Visit to one of the largest flooded caves in the world. Inside lies a dazzling blue lake, surrounded by impressive stalactites and stalagmites of all shapes and sizes. The source of the lake’s waters remains unknown, though it is believed to be fed by an underground river. The cave is about 15 km from Bonito.
Duration: 1h30

Snorkeling in the Sucuri River – After a short walk of about 500 meters through the riparian forest, visitors reach the crystal-clear headwaters of the Sucuri River. Snorkeling for approximately 1,800 meters reveals vibrant underwater flora and schools of tropical fish. A support boat accompanies the entire route.
Duration: Half day

Day 3 – Estância Mimosa
After breakfast, departure for Estância Mimosa, a 400-hectare ranch that combines cattle raising—the region’s traditional activity—with rural and eco-tourism focused on sustainability. The visit begins at the main farmhouse with regional snacks and sweets, followed by a scenic walk along the Mimoso River. The trail passes by at least eight waterfalls of different shapes and sizes, with five excellent natural swimming spots, small caves, and a 6-meter diving platform into a natural pool. After the hike, a delicious traditional lunch is served on a wood-burning stove. The ranch is 24 km from Bonito, and the activity lasts 3–4 hours.
Difficulty level: Moderate – long trail with stairs. Not recommended for people with mobility limitations.

Day 4 – Ecological Refuge of the Prata River & Macaws’ Hole
Early departure for snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters of the Olho D’Água River, which flows into the Prata River. The tour begins with a guided walk through primary forest filled with giant peroba, jatobá, and aroeira trees. Then, a calm snorkeling experience begins, inside a natural aquarium teeming with aquatic life. After the activity, enjoy a typical local lunch at the farm’s headquarters. The site is 50 km from Bonito.
On the way back, visit Macaws’ Hole, a massive sandstone sinkhole 120 meters deep and 500 meters in diameter, home to various bird species—especially red-and-green macaws.
Difficulty level: Moderate

Day 5 – Boca da Onça Waterfall Tour
The trail covers about 4 km, featuring several waterfalls, including Boca da Onça, the tallest in the state at 156 meters. A stairway of 886 steps offers panoramic views of the Salobra River canyon, a tributary of the Miranda River. Another option is the Discovery Trail, about 6 km long, which includes additional waterfalls not part of the main circuit. The site also offers two natural pools with regional fish and an optional 90-meter rappel descent.
Difficulty level: Moderate – long trail with stairs. Not recommended for people with mobility limitations.

Day 6 – Snorkeling in the Mimoso Grotto & Rafting on the Formoso River
Snorkeling in the Mimoso Grotto – After gearing up, visitors follow a self-guided 300-meter trail to a deck where safety instructions and snorkeling practice take place. Then, the group descends 78 steps (depending on the cave’s water level) to begin snorkeling inside the cave, exploring stunning underwater formations.
Duration: 2h

Rafting on the Formoso River – A 5 km rafting trip on inflatable boats, passing through three waterfalls and two rapids, with a 20-minute stop for swimming. Along the route, it’s possible to admire the lush local vegetation and wildlife until reaching the disembarkation point at Porto da Ilha.
