Meet at Guarulhos Airport 2 hours in advance and board a LATAM flight at 11:35 PM, with scheduled arrival in Petrolina at 2:10 AM. Reception at the airport at 2:10 AM and transfer to the hotel.
03/09/2026 – Day 2 – Monday – Petrolina / Serra da Capivara
Departure at 9:00 AM toward Serra da Capivara, with a stop to visit the Miolo Winery in the city of Casa Nova, already in the state of Bahia. The visit is accompanied by an oenologist or sommelier and begins with a view of the vineyards, where techniques and information about the region’s unique characteristics, soil, and plantations are explained.
Next, the production methods of wines, sparkling wines, and spirits are presented, including a visit to the distillery and the brandy aging barrel room. At the end of the experience, there is a tasting of juices and wines from the Terranova winery labels, with shared information about sensory aspects and production methods.
Return to the vehicle and continuation of the trip, with a stop for lunch (not included) at a roadside restaurant. Arrival in Serra da Capivara in the early evening. Accommodation at Serra da Capivara Resort & Convention Hotel, in the municipality of São Raimundo Nonato. Dinner included.
03/10/2026 to 03/13/2026 – Days 3 to 6 – Tuesday to Friday – Serra da Capivara – Included tours:
Capivara Canyon – After breakfast, departure to Serra da Capivara National Park. Visit to Capivara Canyon, with its numerous archaeological sites rich in rock paintings. Circuit with a medium level of difficulty. The circuit includes, among others, the following sites: Toca Nova da Estrada, Toca da Entrada do Pajaú, Toca do Barro, Toca do Inferno, Toca da Entrada do Baixão da Vaca, and Toca do Paraguaio.
It is one of the most visited circuits due to its easy access and because it offers visitors a significant sample of rock art records, in addition to the walk along the valley floor between rocky cliffs and the panoramic view at the Toca da Entrada do Baixão da Vaca site.
Lunch stop (included) at the Ceramics Workshop. If possible, participants will be invited to handle clay and create art alongside local artisans. Depending on availability, an afternoon visit to Boqueirão do Paraguaio, which features paintings over 1.5 meters high. Late afternoon return to the hotel, dinner included, and overnight stay.
Humbu Trail and Museum of the American Man – After breakfast, departure to the Humbu Trail, which in the YÊ language means: “Come see, come with me.” The trail passes through archaeological sites and panoramic viewpoints, where it is possible to observe the local vegetation, which has adapted to survive in the caatinga biome, such as various cactus species found in the area.
Lunch stop (included). In the afternoon, visit to the Museum of the American Man. Late afternoon return to the hotel, dinner included, and overnight stay.
Serra Branca – Visit to the Novo Zabelê Settlement – João Pimenta Site – After breakfast, departure for the tour, traveling 50 km to Serra Branca, where the trail begins with a visit to the Serra Branca spring (the only water source for people who lived in the region before the creation of the Park).
Visit to the Novo Zabelê settlement, formed by people who came from the area now designated as the park. Conversation with residents about life in the semi-arid region. Lunch (included) at a local restaurant.
Next, visit to the João Pimenta Site: an environmental protection project that preserves heritage and memory through sustainable tourism around Serra da Capivara National Park, in the Serra Vermelha region. The site covers 70 hectares and is being transformed into a Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN). João Pimenta was a traditional resident and landowner who lived from land management and left a legacy of resilience, perseverance, and love. Today, his children run this initiative. Extraordinary panoramic views, archaeological sites, preserved nature, and living stories told by their protagonists. Return to the hotel, dinner included, and overnight stay.
Pedra Furada Region, Museum of Nature, and Boqueirão da Pedra Furada – After breakfast, visit to Boqueirão do Pedro Rodrigues, Sítio do Meio, and Pedra Furada. Lunch (included) at Sítio do Mocó and visit to the Museum of Nature.
To conclude, visit to the oldest illuminated archaeological site in the Americas: Boqueirão da Pedra Furada. Return to the hotel, dinner included, and overnight stay.
03/14/2026 – Day 7 – Saturday – Serra da Capivara / Petrolina
Departure at 8:30 AM toward Petrolina. Estimated arrival at 12:30 PM. Stop for lunch (not included). After lunch, city tour in Petrolina, continuing to the Sobradinho Lookout. Transfer and hotel check-in. Dinner (not included) and free evening.
03/15/2026 – Day 8 – Sunday – Petrolina / São Paulo
Departure at 7:00 AM to Petrolina Airport and boarding of LATAM flight at 10:50 AM. Estimated arrival at Guarulhos Airport at 1:35 PM.
