Day 1 – Origin / Brasília – Alto Paraíso
Arrival at Brasília airport and transfer to Alto Paraíso until 12:00 PM. Lunch in Alto Paraíso. Accommodation at the selected pousada.
Day 2 – Raizama & Vale da Lua
After breakfast, we will head to the São Miguel River. Visit Espaço Infinito Farm, where we will do a model trail along the edge of the Raizama canyon. Walk along the farm’s trail circuit, passing a small stream that falls into the canyon from a height of 40m. Continue along the canyon edge. Next, visit Vale da Lua, a private property near the National Park. Walk to the São Miguel River bed, surrounded by rocks with exotic shapes sculpted by water over thousands of years. Lunch in São Jorge in the late afternoon.
Day 3 – Cachoeira do Sossego
After breakfast, about 10 km from São Jorge village, turn left and drive a few kilometers on a dirt road to the start of the hike. Hike northeast along a path with well-marked trails and several river crossings, on a steady, gentle ascent. The final stretch leads to a canyon entrance, with walls contrasting the darker rocks with the green vegetation. At the bottom lies the stunning Cachoeira do Segredo, 120m high with an impressive view—truly a postcard of the Chapada. Enjoy a refreshing swim and a snack. Return to São Jorge for lunch in the late afternoon.
Day 4 – Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park – Saltos do Rio Preto
After breakfast, hike the trail to Saltos do Rio Preto (approx. 10 km – optional transport available). The first waterfall is 120m high and offers an unforgettable view, becoming an iconic image of the Chapada. Next, visit the 80m-high waterfall with a large natural pool perfect for bathing. On the return hike, enjoy another swim in the natural jacuzzis of Pedreiras. Lunch in São Jorge in the late afternoon.
Day 5 – Cachoeira Almécegas I – Brasília / Origin
After breakfast and check-out from the pousada, depart São Jorge for Alto Paraíso. On the way, stop at Fazenda São Bento to visit Cachoeira Almécegas I, a 45m-high waterfall. Continue to Alto Paraíso for a bath and lunch. Transfer from Alto Paraíso to Brasília airport for the return flight.
