Short description:

Many waterfalls, typical Cerrado landscapes, and scenic hikes come together on this trip to one of the oldest cities in Goiás: Pirenópolis.

Its mansions, streets, and churches with colonial architecture—one of the richest collections of heritage sites in Brazil—are listed by IPHAN.

All of this, combined with the local gastronomy, makes Pirenópolis an incredible option for your next trip.

Detailed itinerary:

1st Day – Sunday – Origin / Brasília – Pirenópolis – Historical and Cultural City Tour
Departure to Brasília (or Goiânia, upon request) until 12:00 PM. Transfer to Pirenópolis, 150 km away. Arrival and check-in at the chosen inn. Welcome lunch at a typical restaurant and in the afternoon, historical and cultural city tour.

2nd Day – Monday – Rosário Waterfall
On this day we will visit the Araras stream basin in Serra da Água Limpa. The trails go through rocky cerrado with exuberant quartzite cliffs, passing canyons, gallery forests, and the Rosário Waterfall, which plunges from a 40 m cliff, forming crystal-clear green pools. Late lunch in the city.
Circular trail of 1.5 km in total, with medium difficulty.

3rd Day – Tuesday – Abade Reserve and Pireneus Park
After breakfast at the inn, we will climb the Pireneus Mountains via the park road, a dirt road. Our first stop is the Ventilador viewpoint, at 1,100 m altitude, with a beautiful view of Pirenópolis and its surrounding hills. We continue to the Abade Reserve, a circular walk through gallery forests, cerrado fields, and veredas, along the way visiting 4 waterfalls and their natural pools with crystal-clear water for refreshing swims. Afterward, we proceed to Pireneus Park, walking through high-altitude cerrado, veredas, and rock formations millions of years old. The day ends at 1,400 m altitude at the second highest peak in the Central-West region.

4th Day – Wednesday – Bonsucesso Farm
After breakfast at the inn, we will travel 5 km along a dirt road to visit the complex of 6 waterfalls at Bonsucesso Farm, walking on trails paved by slaves in the 18th century, along stretches of the Estrada do Norte, which connected Pirenópolis to Salvador in Bahia. Lunch in the city.

5th Day – Thursday – Vagafogo Sanctuary – Pirenópolis – Brasília / Origin
On this day, we will visit the attraction that exemplifies sustainable tourism and the work of extracting fruits from the cerrado. Walks in primary cerrado forest with centenary trees, passing several Jatobá, Jequitibá, and other giant cerrado trees, until reaching the 400-year-old Jatobá, called the MOTHER of the FOREST, a moment to enjoy a true FOREST BATH. The trails pass through sections of 18th-century gold mining, with natural pools and small waterfalls for bathing. The site offers a gazebo and hammock area for rest. After the walk, we will enjoy the Brunch with over 60 items prepared at the farm.
Trail difficulty: easy. Schedule flights for after 6:00 PM.
OPTIONAL – Adventure Circuit, Rappelling, Tree Climbing, Zip Line, and Pendulum.
