Short description:

Awaken to the intriguing symphony of Amazonian birds in a luxurious glass-walled bungalow surrounded by untouched rainforest. Fall asleep in a wooden suite floating above an incredible maze of waterways in the midst of a million hectares of jungle. Stay facing the largest freshwater archipelago on the planet. These are just some of the possibilities for exploring Amazonian landscapes from the region’s comfortable jungle lodges and hotels.

Activities in the forest range from watching the sunrise and birdlife from a 50-meter observation tower as the mist lifts above the canopy, paddling through narrow channels while navigating the branches of the flooded forest, walking among centuries-old trees to the unique soundtrack of howler monkeys, photographing pink river dolphins leaping in a golden lake at sunset deep in the jungle, and visiting traditional communities to learn about local crafts, culture, and ways of life.

At night, nearly all lodges offer nocturnal boat outings for wildlife spotting under an astonishingly star-filled sky. In addition to boats equipped for safe and comfortable tours, the lodges offer high-standard facilities and authentic experiences—such as enjoying a glass of wine outdoors in a cozy garden while waiting for fresh fish to be roasted over the fire.
