Day 1 – Origin / Brasília – Alto Paraíso
Flight to Brasília. Arrival and reception at the airport until 12:00, transfer from Brasília to Alto Paraíso, welcome lunch, and accommodation at the chosen pousada.
Day 2 – Cachoeira do Segredo and Vale da Lua
After breakfast, about 10 km from the village of São Jorge, we turn left and drive a few kilometers on a dirt road to the start of the hike. The trail heads northeast, alternating between well-marked paths and several river crossings, with a gentle, steady ascent. The final stretch leads to the entrance of a canyon, with walls contrasting the darker rock colors with the surrounding green vegetation. At the base lies the breathtaking Cachoeira do Segredo, with its impressive 120m height. We will take a refreshing swim and enjoy our snack. Next, we visit the main attraction of the Rio São Miguel, Vale da Lua, a private property near the National Park, with a 600m walk along the riverbed, where the rocks are shaped by water over thousands of years. Return for lunch in São Jorge in the late afternoon.
Day 3 – Mirante da Janela and Cachoeira do Abismo
After breakfast, hike to the Mirante da Janela viewpoint, with views of the two Saltos do Rio Preto, postcards of the park, and the limits of the Chapada through the Serra Santana. Continuing the circuit, hike to Cachoeira do Abismo, a series of small waterfalls and pool-viewpoints with vistas of the northern limit of the Chapada. The circuit ends with a return to São Jorge via another trail, passing the old crystal mining site. Lunch in the village of São Jorge in the late afternoon.
Day 4 – Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park – Saltos do Rio Preto
After breakfast, explore Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park. Hike the trail to Saltos do Rio Preto (approx. 10 km – optional transport). The first waterfall is 120m high and offers an unforgettable view, becoming a park postcard. Next, visit the 80m waterfall with a large natural pool, ideal for swimming. On the way back, enjoy a bath in the natural jacuzzis of Pedreiras. Lunch in the village of São Jorge in the late afternoon.
Day 5 – Cachoeira Almécegas I – Brasília / Origin
After breakfast, depart for Fazenda São Bento to visit Cachoeira Almécegas I, with a 45m drop. Return to Alto Paraíso for a bath and lunch. Transfer to Brasília airport.
Optional: Zipline at Voo do Gavião.
