The natural grandeur of the Véu da Noiva waterfall — an 80-meter drop cascading down a sandstone cliff surrounded by dense forest and savanna fields — is the most iconic postcard of Chapada dos Guimarães, but far from the only one. The region’s rugged geography is a breathtaking collection of landscapes featuring orange-hued cliffs, vast sand caves, trails through the cerrado, nearly a hundred cataloged waterfalls, and significant archaeological sites that tell stories of dinosaurs from the Jurassic period.

Within the boundaries of the Chapada dos Guimarães National Park, one of the best experiences is the Waterfall Circuit — a peaceful trail winding through ancient rock formations that connects seven waterfalls, each offering natural whirlpools that provide a revitalizing massage. Another must-do experience in the Chapada is exploring the various caves scattered across the Brazilian savanna. There are immense, flooded, and visually stunning caverns such as the Casa de Pedra, a small sandstone cave patiently carved by the 7 de Setembro stream.

In the quaint town of Chapada dos Guimarães, which features cozy restaurants and charming guesthouses, a mystical atmosphere prevails. The destination also marks the geodesic center of Brazil, surrounded by all the legends and mysteries that this unique location inspires.

Detailed itinerary:

Day 1 – Origin / Cuiabá – Chapada dos Guimarães
Flight to Cuiabá. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to Chapada dos Guimarães (approx. 40 minutes / 75 km). Accommodation at the selected inn.

Day 2 – Chapada dos Guimarães – 1 Included Tour
Véu de Noiva + Waterfall Circuit at Chapada dos Guimarães National Park
After breakfast (departure at 9 a.m.), travel to Chapada dos Guimarães National Park to visit the Véu de Noiva Waterfall viewpoint, the park’s postcard image. From there, you’ll enjoy views of the valley formed by the Coxipozinho River, the forest, the cerrado, the cliffs, and the majestic 80-meter-high waterfall.
After a brief stretch, begin the hike through the Cerrado, discovering wetlands and rocky fields typical of the Brazilian savanna. Arrive at the Waterfall Circuit trail, featuring waterfalls such as Pulo, Degrau, Prainha, and Andorinhas, all of which offer the chance for a refreshing swim.
During the hike, visitors will see the geological mosaic that shapes the Chapada, from ancient rocks like Filito to more recent formations such as Furnas and Ponta Grossa. Enjoy pure freshwater baths in the heart of Brazil.
Car transfer and departure from the National Park are scheduled around 4 or 5 p.m. We suggest bringing a hearty snack or picnic lunch to make the most of the waterfalls. Return to the inn and enjoy a free evening.

Day 3 – Chapada dos Guimarães
Free day for independent activities.

Day 4 – Chapada dos Guimarães – Cuiabá / Origin
Morning at leisure at the inn until transfer time. Return to Cuiabá airport for your flight back home.
