As soon as you witness a sunrise among houseboats, caimans, and flocks of jabiru storks, you will realize that the Pantanal has its own rhythm, entirely ruled by nature spreading in every direction. In the largest flooded plain on the planet, colors are more vibrant, silences are deeper, and life is more abundant. Counting mammals, birds, fish, and reptiles, there are more than a thousand different animal species posing for tourists’ cameras along every route, whether by land or by water.

Transfers along the Transpantaneira, which connects the Northern and Southern Pantanal, are practically a safari in themselves and can amaze even the most experienced travelers with the exuberance of wildlife, including the possibility of spotting the mesmerizing jaguar. To interact with this incredible local nature without giving up comfort, accommodations range from refined lodges to more traditional ranches, all offering high-quality services. After a day of horseback riding, boat excursions, hikes, and photographic outings, you will be invited to celebrate the pleasures of Pantanal cuisine at a moonlit gathering by the campfire or around a classic wood-burning stove.
