Short description:

About 100 kilometers from Belo Horizonte, Serra do Cipó offers nature lovers a wide range of options such as trails of varying difficulty levels, rivers, waterfalls with irresistible swimming pools, caves, canyons, and rock walls.

These landscapes are irresistible invitations for activities such as rappelling, cycling, mountaineering, kayaking, trekking, and rafting. A breathtaking sunset awaits you at several points throughout the region.

All these attractions take place amid one of the greatest diversities of flora and fauna in the world. There are around 1,600 species of flowers, which led landscape architect Burle Marx to classify the region as the “Garden of Brazil,” in addition to the presence of endangered animals such as the maned wolf, giant anteater, and puma. A large part of this natural heritage lies within the Serra do Cipó National Park, created in 1984.

The warm hospitality of the local population, along with the cuisine, handicrafts, and charming inns, further complement this unique experience of being in Serra do Cipó.

Then, at Serra Morena Waterfalls, we will walk less than 2 km for refreshing swims and invigorating showers at waterfalls 1 and 2, the latter being one of the most beautiful in the region, with a 45-meter waterfall.
