Lunch in the town of Ponte Alta, the last place to purchase items such as sunscreen, insect repellent, etc.

We then continue towards the mysterious Serra da Muriçoca. Along the way, we will cross the headwaters of the Vermelho River, skirting the western side of the Serra Geral do Tocantins Ecological Station. From the top of the mountain range, it is possible to admire the vastness of Jalapão and identify Serra da Jalapinha, Serra do Espírito Santo, and, farther on the horizon, Serra Geral da Bahia.

3rd Day – Sunday: Canoeing Experience
On this day, those who wish may wake up a bit later. For the more energetic, we suggest asking the guide to wake you early to go to the Safari Camp viewpoint to enjoy the sunrise behind the beautiful Serra do Espírito Santo. From there, it is also possible to use a terrestrial telescope to observe the surrounding mountain ranges and the cliffs that form the Jalapão Dunes.
After a delicious breakfast on the riverbank, instructions will be given on canoeing techniques. Departure from the Safari Camp beach, descending the Novo River while appreciating its wild nature (approximately 1 hour – easy level). The Novo River is one of the last potable water rivers in the world. Its white sandy bottom forms beautiful beaches that, during this contemplative route, constantly invite swimming and diving in its pure, crystal-clear waters, with a touch of adventure and excitement in its rapids (easy/ contemplative canoeing).
Return to Safari Camp. Lunch at Safari Camp. The afternoon will be free to enjoy the camp, or optional light walks in the surroundings.

Along the route, we will cross the Preto River Valley, between Serra do Meio and Serra do Espírito Santo. On the left is Jalapão State Park, and on the right the eastern side of the Serra Geral Ecological Station, together forming the largest mosaic of protected areas in the Brazilian cerrado. This route offers rich scenery, inviting travelers to enjoy the fresh air, landscapes, and photo opportunities.
Arrival at Soninho Fervedouro – Korubo exclusive (75 km on dirt road). It is also possible to swim in the waters of the Sono River, one of the main tributaries of the Tocantins River, where the cold river water contrasts with the warm fervedouro waters. Depending on availability and time, we may also visit Ceiça/Glorinha Fervedouro (small fervedouro with limited capacity).
Lunch at Korubo’s outpost near Soninho Fervedouro.
Departure to Formiga Waterfall (15 km on dirt road), whose drop forms a natural pool with crystal-clear, emerald-green waters—an unforgettable Jalapão experience.
